Winnie Jo Benfield Brewer Croy of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 1, 1942 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Cora Alice Crutchfield Benfield. She was a home health care aide for many years and a member of Hope Pentecostal Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to the radio.

Winnie Jo died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Southern Trace Nursing Home in Bryant at the age of 74.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Hollis Dale Brewer and a brother, Charles Benfield.

Survivors: son, Rick and wife Rhonda Brewer; daughter, Vicky and husband Donald Hughes; brother, Carl and wife Wanda Benfield; sisters, Melvis and husband DeWitt Smith, Joyce Smith, all of Sheridan; 6 grandchildren, Michael Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Justin Brewer, Payton Brewer, Brittney Brewer and Tyler Harris; 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2017 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 2-4 P.M.
