Zachary Matthew James

Zachary "Zach" James, 36, of Friendship, Arkansas, passed away on October 2, 2026.

Born on May 27th, 1990, Zachary was a true outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in nature. Whether he was hunting in the timber or fishing on the river, he was always happiest in the quiet of the woods or out on the water. He never met a stranger, made everybody in the room laugh, and had a quick witted joke. Above all else, Zachary was a devoted and loving father. His absolute favorite moments in life were the ones spent teaching, playing, and making lasting memories with his beloved son, Kaleb.

Zachary is survived by his son, Kaleb James; his mother, Melinda Thompson of Redfield, AR; his father, Glenn James of Malvern, AR; and his sister, Autum James of Friendship, AR. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Marjorie Wright and Randall Wolfe of Bonnerdale, AR; his aunts, Courtney Harris and husband Jason of Benton, AR, and Tanya Warnke of Bryant, AR and Gwen James of Malvern;; as well as many beloved cousins and extended family members, and close friends who will deeply miss his adventurous spirit.

The burial will be held at Crossroad's Cemetery in Kingsland. A private service will be held at a later date.
