Charles Ray Baxley , 81, of the East End Community passed away January 22, 2020 at Southern Trace Care Center in Bryant. He was born May 31, 1938 in East End, son of the late Bernadine Lawhon Baxley Buckmaster and Willie Ray Baxley.

Charles graduated from Sheridan High School and attended Arkansas State University. He was a member of East End Baptist Church, a freelance writer, an avid reader and sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Thomas Lee Baxley.

He is survived by a half-sister, Pat Buckmaster Wilson (Donald) of Russellville, three nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Salem Cemetery in East End with Bro. Doug Hibbard officiating.

Memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery or East End Baptist Church.
