William D. "Billy" Payer of Sheridan, Arkansas, was born May 13, 1938 in Casscoe to the late William Alexander and Ethel Hancock Payer. He was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church and had worked for the railroad.

Mr. Payer died Friday, July 5, 2019 at his home at the age of 81.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Payer; son, William Edward Payer; brothers, Frank Alexander Payer and Ernest Payer; sisters, Mary Frances Payer, Ruby Payer McGaughey, Bernice Payer Allen, and Edna Payer Wright; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Mickey Frizzell.

He is survived by his son, Bryan Payer and Carla Shipman; daughter, Gail Payer; grandchildren, Zachary Payer, Tyler Payer, and Hunter Payer; great grandchild, Collin Payer; brother, Forest Leon Payer; sisters, Lorene Payer Leder and Dorothy Payer Wilks; brother and sisters in law, Wayne and Martha Frizzell and Tim and Pat Ables; extended family and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Humphrey Baptist Church in Humphrey, Arkansas with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Flynn Cemetery.
